It is a place where ancestral knowledge, nature, and well being coexist, offering a deeply grounding and memorable travel experience.
This journey to Yucatán is ideal for travelers who:

Upon arrival in the Yucatán, travelers are welcomed at a historic hacienda surrounded by lush tropical landscapes. After settling in, the group gathers for a relaxed welcome dinner highlighting regional Yucatecan flavors, setting the tone for a week of cultural connection and restoration.

We will spend the day visiting the community of Granada, where travelers meet local Maya families and learn about daily life, traditions, and craftsmanship passed down through generations. Shared meals and conversations offer an intimate introduction to the region’s living heritage.

In Granada, travelers will explore traditional Maya practices through hands on experiences in melipona bee honey production and small scale farming. The day focuses on sustainability, ancestral knowledge, and the deep relationship between the land and the community.

Travelers journey to the Celestún Biosphere Reserve for a boat excursion through mangroves to observe flamingos in their natural habitat. The day concludes with a fresh seafood lunch by the beach, enjoying the quiet rhythm of the Gulf coast.

The morning begins at Uxmal, where travelers explore the ancient Maya city and its iconic architecture. Later, the group visits Cenote Mucuyché, swimming through a series of serene underground cenotes before continuing on to Maroma Beach and checking into a peaceful oceanfront yoga retreat.

A full day to relax and restore at Maroma Beach. Travelers enjoy guided yoga sessions, time by the sea, and optional spa treatments, allowing space to unwind, reflect, and integrate the experiences of the journey.

After breakfast, travelers depart for Cancun International Airport for their return home, carrying with them a deeper connection to the land, culture, and people of the Yucatán.

“We had an amazing time on the magical…trip to Mexico with La Capitana herself. The city was in its full regalia overflowing with the flowers … and our week was filled with the vibrant colors, food and culture found only in Mexico. Lorenza did an incredible job curating this wonderful trip and it included activities and visits to artisans that we would not have been able to organize on our own. I left knowing I genuinely would recommend this trip to anyone interested in exploring this slice of Mexico and especially during the beautiful celebration of Dias de los Muertos. Lorenza made this trip feel effortless, fun and unforgettable.”

The pride Lorenza had in sharing your country and wanting everyone to have a great experience made it really special for all of us. It was really clear[she put a lot of effort into selecting the things to do and the people [she] hired to make sure it was the best experience for us. We had an amazing time and Lorenza did just an awesome job. It truly was one of our favorite trips we’ve ever been on and that was not only because of [her] great planning and execution but also because of the passion Lorenza brought to showing us her country. Can’t wait for the next trip!
